[ Considering everything she's learned about this holiday, Yona had gone all out in decorating the temple for Christmas. Despite the fact that the weather surrounding her home is still quite summery, there is a Christmas tree all decked out - and most likely decorated by all of them the day before, and come Christmas morning, there are piles of presents under it.
Suzaku has packages beneath it just like the rest of her closest family and friends, even though she'd had a harder time finding something for him than for some of the others, especially with him still being new to join their little group. But within his packages he'll find a warm woollen coat along with a set of gloves and a deep blue scarf. Also enclosed is a pair of leather-bound journals, clearly handcrafted and empty inside for him to fill with whatever he wishes. ]
[Suzaku is quiet through all the preperations. He's still not fully comfortable around everyone but he tries his best and helps out where he can.
He is surprised to find gifts for him and when he opens them his eyes fill with tears at the kindness. He thanks her and feels guilty for not having anything to give in return.
Later in the day though he will approach her with a small paper dragon made out of the wrapping paper.
Of all the skills he had discovered he had, oragami was the most surprising, especially given the new things he had learned about himself a few days prior.]
[ She'd seen his reaction to the presents and had intended to seek him out regardless at some point to speak with him about it, but when he approaches her with the paper figure, her eyes light up in delight and she accepts it in fascination. ]
Oh, this is lovely, Suzaku! Did you make this yourself?
[He looks a little embarassed, after all he is not a child to be making such childish trinkets. But she seems to like it and he is glad that he has made her smile.]
I did... I was collecting up the paper from the gifts when it occured to me I could fold it to make animals. I know it is not much... but I wanted to thank you properly.
It's something you made with your own hands, so I think that makes it special in itself. It's a lovely piece of art. I've never heard of doing something like this. Was it difficult? [ She tilts it this way and that, as if trying to figure out how he folded the paper to make it into a dragon. ] And you're very welcome, Suzaku. I'm glad you could come spend Christmas with us. I'm afraid most of us have never experienced this holiday before.
Not too difficult... [He smiled at her again.] I can show you if you wish. [A dragon was probably too difficult for a first attempt but he could show her how to fold a crane.]
I recognise parts of it so I imagine it was something that was celebrated in my own world. Perhaps in Britannia. [He doesn't know enough to comfortably recreate the traditions though.]
There were parts of it similar to some celebrations in our world, as well, although there was much of it that was still new and a little strange. [ She pauses before giving a sheepish sort of laugh. ] Although that seems to be the case with just about everything in this world for me. Just when I think I might start to be getting the hang of things, something new pops up to confuse me all over again.
But I appreciate this gift all the same. If you'd like to show me sometime, I'd love to learn? Although I doubt I'll have your skill at it.
If you ever need help figuring things out please just ask. [There are of course some things that are new and confusing for him here but a lot of things feel familliar, he understands more things than he doesn't understand and so he feels he is in a good position to help.]
And I will happily show you oragami, that's what it's called, when you fold paper into shapes like this.
A little something for you and your furry friend(s) to enjoy together! And a bit to help clean up from the fun~ Can't wait to become better friends in the coming new year!
[Suzaku will find a scratching post on the porch with basket of cat treats, toys, and a book on how to take care of cats on top of it. There's a box next to it of things for Suzaku too - a scarf, gloves, and a jacket.]
[Considering that Suzaku now works at Ebisu's temple, even part time, well. Of course various ways to contact him have been established, including his own email for the office. So it's pretty easy for Aomi to get a hold of him.]

Do you have any plans in the immediate future? Around this time of year, I go on a brief trip to Kanagawa. The young master will be accompanying me. I thought it would be nice to invite the newer employees such as yourself along on it. It would only be for a day.
I will look forward to your response. If it helps change the situation at all, your god is also invited to attend, along with anyone else within your temple.

The invitation is kind of you. I will be happy to accompany you for a day. I would have to check with Lord Saber but I am sure it will be no problem.
